How this site handles information.
What this site collects. Browsing this website does not require you to provide personal information, and the site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider (Netlify) keeps standard, short-lived server logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested — to run and secure the service. If we add privacy-respecting analytics, it will count visits in aggregate without cookies or personal profiles.
If you contact us. Email sent to the firm, and anything you share when booking or holding an intro call, is used to respond to you, run a conflict check, and assess whether we can act. Please don't send confidential documents before we confirm conflicts are clear. Contacting the firm does not create a lawyer–client relationship.
If you become a client. Client information is governed by the retainer agreement and by a lawyer's professional duty of confidentiality under the Law Society of Ontario's rules — obligations considerably stricter than privacy legislation alone.
What we don't do. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Questions or requests. To ask what information the firm holds about you, or to request correction or deletion of information not subject to legal retention duties, write to ali@taghvalaw.com.
